Proud graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Appalachian State University with a Masters of Science in Accounting.
Worked in public accounting firms and a Fortune 500 company until the early 2000's. Tax was my speciality during this time, but participating in many auditing engagements provided expansion of my accounting expertise.
Two decades of experience implementing, working and training on Quickbooks® software.
Founded a consulting business where I assisted diverse clients in bookkeeping and general business advice. These clients were engaged in a broad spectrum of businesses, including restaurants, trucking, construction, assisted living and home improvement.
Through consulting, I was ultimately hired by the nation's largest remodeler where I worked for the last decade. Nationwide sales have now reached almost $700m. I resigned from my role as CFO and a member of its Board of Directors to do what my heart truly desires - assist you in achieving your dreams!

Oversaw overall accounting function for multi-million dollar companies.
Served as key advisor and strategist on all corporate priorities and top level organizational initiatives, including accounting and tax, marketing, educational training, sales software development and business expansion.
Assisted with audit and year-end tax preparation.
Set-up and administered a non-profit organization that has donated over $8m to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Created and implemented an entire multi-national sales tax system.
Wrote a Quickbooks® manual and taught accounting classes for new small business owners. These were specifically designed for their business needs.
Developed, authored and taught a curriculum for training new and existing businesses on accounting, software management, current IRS laws and relevant business management.
Negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with vendors.
Provided insight and helped negotiate settlement of a multi-million dollar lawsuit.
Successfully restructured an entire organizational/corporate structure.
Participated and oversaw the sale and purchase of multi-million dollar businesses.
Formed councils and forums for relationship building and continued mutual success.
